GSoC is a yearly event organised by Google in order to support the Open Source community around the world – by paying beginners to work in open source projects during summer.

We would love to see students from Cluj getting more involved in international IT activities. Participating in GSoC is a great opportunity to improve your CV!

You can contact Codemart in case you need help applying for this program!

Contributor Applications officially open March 24th, but early involvement is highly appreciated. See the detailed timeline here.

      Apply until April 8, 2025!

We've been participating in this program as mentors for years and would be more than happy to support you in answering questions about the program or structuring your application.

Enter the magical world of Neuroscience

If you know Python, you can join a cutting-edge, international team of scientists working on The Virtual Brain (TVB), the leading brain simulator!

If you are accepted, Google will pay for you to work in the Open Source community during the summer. You can work from any location of your choice!

      • Codemart will mentor a project about new graphical widgets for The Virtual Brain with JupyterLab.
      • and a second project about xircuits new components

The GSoC FAQs might help you too.
